    Yep. Agree.
Don't know where they have found the reliability stats for this car :(

Also, I forgot to mention that when I do a steer left at speed (e.g. 30mph) with engine turned off and accelerator at 0%, and try to gently accelerate away from the corner engine will stutter for a few moments.

Thankfully nothing serious broke down yet tho.

    [SOLVED]
It's fixed now. Will see if it's just for now or it will continue to keep working but here is what I did:

    1) Took the unit out
    2) Unscrewed the top cover
    3) Used the soldering iron to heat up the B+ pin from this image (power supply pin):

    4) Put everything back.
    5) Voila! :D

So if your head unit dies, try touching connector pins with soldering iron to head up the solder. Bad solder joints were a big cause of malfunctions on the genII, and could be that they are still present on this gen - just in a different place.

Hope this will help somebody out there.

Update: It's dead again. Actually, it's almost 50-50% split between multimedia working and not working when I start the car. Sometimes it wakes up and shows loading and then works normally and sometimes it's dead for a few days in a row. It even starts up by itself while driving in some occasions...

Just for giggles, have you asked a dealership about replacement cost? A nice cheery number I'll wager.

Yep, they said that a new unit is about $3500. So nope.

Worst of all, it was working all right almost whole summer. It seems to not like bad weather and cold.
