Since returning to Newfoundland I've been busy with work, projects around the house, getting caught up with family and friends. Basically, I haven't had time to do a ride report. I did, however, keep a report on another forum I frequent. Here's a link to my thread, titled: "Smitten With My New-To-Me Prius." Have a look, if interested.

I have not tried it, but you might look at Home - Habitent for a tent that goes onto the Prius hatchback.
    Happy Camping.

image.jpeg image.png image.png image.png A little update. I've put 10K (miles) on my Prius since I bought it in June. I love it and hardly drive my other cars.

I got two of the three recalls done (water pump and the gas pedal trimming). The steering shaft recall will be done in two weeks, when the part comes in.

Today I put winter tires on (Michelin X-Ice). I live in a harsh salty environment and didn't want to ruin my OE alloys, so I bought a set of steel wheels. Not the prettiest so I ordered some chrome "beauty rings" too, they haven't arrived yet. I'll post some pics when they do.

I still can't believe how I lucked in with this car. It runs like a top, gets fantastic fuel economy, it's comfy, reliable, has lots of creature comforts. And like how it looks too. To hell with the haters, this is just a solid practical car.

One of the pics gives an idea of the look I'm going for when the chrome rings arrive. I don't plan on covering the axle nut.

Cool, it has an aftermarket moonroof.

Yep, a Webasto. Everyone who sits in my car expresses surprise that it's not factory installed. It's a very nice sunroof.

Aftermarket heated seats too. And leather (though I think it's factory installed).

Not the best pic, but can anyone tell me if these seats look OE or are they aftermarket?

Wow, you're right. It does look very well installed. Props to the installer!

If it's a Canadian model, it's aftermarket as leather was not offered in Canada. If it's a US model, then it depends on the trim but IIRC, only the top package got leather seats from the factory (and heated seats were not offered so the heated seat function is definitely aftermarket).

The car came from the US. Given the seat mounted airbag badging, I'm thinking the leather is factory. The heated aspect is definitely aftermarket, though well done.

Not sure this is a USA model, check out the turn signal indicators in the front fenders?

100% positive it is. Bought in Oklahoma. And I just got some US only recalls done.

The photo you referring to with the chrome ring is not my car, just a "look" I'm going for.
