Now that my HIDs are starting to colour shift (right side is purple), I thought I'd write an ownership review. It's too bad they longer make HIDs for passenger vehicles but for those contemplating upgrading their lighting on their Gen 3, a good quality 3rd party (not Ebay knockoffs) will serve you well (depending on state/local laws).

The Gen 3 has projector halogen lens. They do a much better job focusing the light and minimising the scattering of light (which is the part that is glaring to oncoming traffic).

I'm running 5,000K which is a pure white. 4,300K will get you closer to factory HIDs and 6,000K is white with a blue tinge.

I also changed the forward-facing parking lights to LEDs to match the colour of the HIDs.

I've had them for nearly 6 years to the day of installation. They've served me well, especially on unlit highways. They projected a nice, white light. The installation was easy (thanks to members here that kindly posted installation instructions for their HID swap) and the ballasts and bulbs survived the rough (mostly pot-hole-ridden) roads I encountered.

I don't have intention of replacing them with HIDs and probably will go back to stock headlamps (I do recall they were pretty good). It was nice while it lasted and if Mobile HID still produced passenger vehicle HIDs, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

If you prefer a halogen upgrade, I've had good customer experience with Power Bulbs
Car Bulbs, Headlights, Xenon Bulbs | Philips & Osram | PowerBulbs

Just pay attention when choosing a bulb (sometimes it's a pair of two bulbs, sometimes it's just a single bulb for the listed price)

Having resisted installing HIDs for years, now that I have them, it would be very hard to go back to halogens.

Even the 65w H9 halogens I had can't compare to AC 35w HIDs.

I'm leaning towards the hid , the led don't go wide as hid does.. led fogs and hid fogs are useless in white, you need yellow to be effective thru inclement weather.

Here's what 4300K AC HIDs and 2500K halogen foglights look like in my Camry. The foglights are projectors with a clean cutoff, so no glare:
