I was approved for financing, and I want a 2017 Prius Two Eco, but the local dealerships do not have any. Should I wait until they do? Can they order it for me? Should I get another model? Help!

If you "want" but don't "need" the 2017 keep looking until you find exactly what you want.

Well, I sort of need it too. My wife needs a new car for her commute. Her 1999 Volvo is falling apart haha. But, I have time to look.

Sadly LA is in the control of Gulf States Toyota, and they did not order any. Your only real chance to get a Two Eco is to buy outside Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. There are Two Ecos in Mobile AL

Ask him - I'm sure he'd love to have another customer.

From what I hear, stocks are much better in USA than Australia - I had to wait 4 months before the FIRST Gen 4 turned up at my dealer, and they haven't had another since - another 4 months almost. I read somewhere they've only sold 300 in the country.

Your other option could be a 2016 - could be bargain prices?

    No.
They can only get cars from their distributor, Gulf States Toyota.

You can shop out of your region, but they can't.

Good point. Do you know if Toyota dealers will ship an individual car to a buyer from another state?

Dianne Whitmire of Carson Toyota will, she offered to ship me a 2012 Prius PHV. (for a fee) Sadly, Carson Toyota has no Two Ecos in stock. (I had that reply all written before I checked)

I do not know anything about Palmer Toyota in Mobile. (I am driving through Mobile on Monday next week on my way to Shalimar FL) they have a toll free number Sales 800-868-0801 and they have an internet sales department Palmer's Toyota Staff - Mobile AL area Toyota dealer serving Mobile AL - New and Used Toyota dealership serving Pascagoula MS Daphne Biloxi MS AL If you wanted a lift, there would be four of us in my v. That is so kind and generous of you. Actually, I will be buying the car in two-three months, but thank you so much for your kind offer!

Why are you in such a huge hurry?
That's when people make unwise choices and/or bad decisions.

    It's only a car, LOL

Matty, try this; Go to toyota.com and give your ZIP code, and look at prius models. There will be 5, no Two Eco.

Now change your zip code to outside Gulf States (my daughter is at 98226) and look at Prius models, there are 6.

Your dealers can't get a Two Eco as it is not imported into your area. (and mine, sigh)

(I am not expecting to be near Mobile AL in three months, but keep in touch, my wife may be designing a Coast Guard Station. She is in Puerto Rico designing a US Customs facility this week. She was in New Orleans last week for the Coast Guard.)
