So got myself a set of led bulbs to replace my interior lighting on my 2014 Prius IV. Yaa me!

Thought it would take 10 miutes maybe 20 tops to switch out the bulbs but after I couldnt get the bulb out of the map light or the vanity light I stopped. I was worried I was gonna crush the bulb in my fingers or tear it from the socket.

Is it supposed to be that difficult to get those bulbs out? Or am I missing something?

I had some trouble with some of the bulbs. I had to use a plier (with paper towels wrapped at the tips of the plier) to get them out.

I changed every bulb on my 14’
Gen IV . I loved it , the interior seemed too bright and I changed the interior lights to red . It looked great , and when I approached the car , the red grew brighter before unlocking . I was thrilled !
The interior lights stopped working . T can turn the lights on with the switch , but opening the door the cabin stays dark . Any thoughts ?
Has the resistance of the led confused the computer ?

There's pliers for gripping hoses, have concave curve to their "grippers". Not sure if they'd clamp down tight enough, but if they did, and you dipped them in plasti-dip for a few coats, maybe that'd be the bee's knees?

Or these. I'll just do a screen grab, since Amazon Links don't display with a lot of ad-blockers, at least not here:

A cheap rubber jar opener or a grippy pair of rubber gloves will do the same thing.

I use an oil filter pair-of-pliers for opening spaghetti sauce jars and the like; without that we'd likely starve to death. :ROFLMAO:

There is a thread in the "What have you done to your Gen III" section or the section that covers modifications that has this. It is not as easy as it looks. Some people took their cars to people who have done it (can't really do that now).

I received a suggestion on what to check . It was a switch issue . I did not remember touching it but when I checked it was rolled down which lowered the lights to off . Now the interior glows red as I approach ( the white interior bulbs were way too bright ) Sorry for the delay on the update . But ,
    Thank you for the help
