    Thoughts? Think the automakers are missing an opportunity by not making electric vans for small business owners and post offices? Wouldn't it work out great because they'd be charging at a centralized location at the end of every day, and they usually have short, well known routes as well?

    can you annoy an annoying company? they don't deserve a seat at the table. i'd love to see sups, fed ex and ups get together on something.

    I think that the bidding process on the replacement for the current LLV mail trucks the USPS uses is underway.

    Yep, they are: USPS statement on delivery vehicles
    It is down to six companies supplying 50 prototypes. No specifics on what exactly the type of van they are, but includes hybrids and plug ins. The USPS is also looking into an off-the-shelf RHD van to fill their needs. The average LLV we likely are all familiar with is 24 years old now.
