All fine and dandy except for the little issue of the engine harness doesn't have anywhere to plug into

    priusfan,

A few of us are buying OEM fog lights from a US dealer.
Harness need to be after market or put together by scratch.

    Thanks,

From aerodynamic point of view I think this fog light compartment is poorly designed.
IMO it would be beneficial to put a plastic 'canopy' over this area to allow air passing freely around.
Should no fog light used I'd make an air passage connecting this 'dead zone' to the front tire area.

    dragon,

Look at Toyota online parts, in Virginia.
It should fit your blank fog light area.

Oddly enough, Toyota's own design in Gen 3 was that the factory foglight relay is in the instrument-panel relay box, so the wire through the firewall carries the full foglight current. No idea why they came up with that, but they did. Even funnier, in Gen 3, even cars without fogs have the relay, and the fuse, in place, but no wire. Run that wire (through the firewall grommet, ugh, PITA) and everything works.

It sounds from your Gen 4 info as if they at least stopped including the relay when you don't have foglights. Does your info show where you're supposed to plug the factory relay in? Did they move it to the engine compartment relay box, or does it still go in the instrument panel one?

I was supposed to receive my 87a relays today but they didnt arrive. Here are pictures of the harness i made (missing the relay). I installed this harness and tested jumping the 12v to the power wires of the fog and drl to make sure it all worked. as soon as the relays arrive it will all be finished.

    lohikaarme,

I thought that you would have completed yours before I finish mine!

I have all my parts now, and will try to turn on the switch this weekend.
I will post my efforts, if I am successful.

Looks good, similar to the harness I made for my HID dual relay setup:

Relays arrived, all working, full control- they power is killed when the car acc is turned off. No I dont have it set in such a way where I can activate both fog and drl at the same time.

    random,

Price is good now, you can install for under $300!
Might be the same as the one that mark27lim installed.

The yellow color is the LED element. The light would be bright white.
It seems more visible than the OEM lights.

    random,

I did go on eBay to look at these Chinese fog lights.
There are 4 wires to the light vs 3 for the OEM Toyota light.
    The pictures show:
    1. All lights on - all white
    2. Bottom 3 lights on - white or amber
    3. Top light on - white
So, would there be a 4-way switch? 2-2 way switch?
krmcg posted a wiring diagram, but it was too blurry to read.
