You are about 200 miles from Prius hybrids sales and service Scottsburg Indiana. Steve should be able to help you at a reasonable cost.

That is what I would pursue, these people are nothing but scam artists. Praying on poor college students and others! The Attorney Generals Office is definitely worth your time and effort to speak with. They have unlimited resources to track down these people and hopefully fine and put permanently out of business. Good luck.

    Hey Steve,

The 2010 "L" Modules that I have right now are all B5's but I also had a 2013 pack that was a mix of B4's and B5's. Like you found the B2 modules started showing up as early as 2006 but it's a mix for the next few years of B and non-B modules. B3's started with 2007 modules but were mixed with B2's and non B's. Same in the 2008's. B4's started in 2010 and B5's in 2011. The mix of the B2-B5 modules from 2007 to 2011 doesn't make a lot of sense to me but maybe somebody knows what it means. This is data from about 140 packs and interestingly I have seen no difference in failure rate or performance across any of the 2005-2008 non-B thru B3 modules.

Update to an old post. Credit card company looked at all the stuff that Eric checked on the car and reached out to these scam artists. They never replied so the bank took back their money and I got refunded.

Nope. I still see (and report) their ads on craigslist in many Midwest cities.

If a bunch of people would start flagging their adds they could be shut down.

Glad to see you got your money back DAK. However I doubt very seriously this action will slow down the scammer. Con Artist's are all alike. Heck, they even forget who they have conned. I know this for a fact. Am dealing with a con artist here that is circulating through the area trying to scam homeowners here in the Houston area. The more people that can be told about the con artists, the better. Education is the key. They may move on to a newer unsuspecting area, but they won't quit until they get locked up or shot dead.

Figured I'd update this. Battery failed drastically back in July. Blackie is now gone... traded it in for a 2014 Toyota Yaris LE. So yeah, Elite's product is garbage.

    Thank you for the update.
Sorry to hear it didn't last longer.
This was important for others to know about.

It's all good. That Prius was pretty rough by the time it was done. But I have zero complaints about it. Fantastic car.

The Yaris isn't as good as the Prius in the quality department. Probably because it was made in France instead of Japan. But hopefully it will last for a long time regardless.

Just bought a 2005 Prius from Milwaukee that has their battery installed, "with warranty until June 2017". Wish I saw this thread earlier.

I guess now they tricked two people - original owner and me. :D

It lasted for 9 months so far, not sure how much longer it will last. I am getting 42.5mpg in mixed cycle, but the mileage is high - 200K, so I don't know.
