My 2012 PIP Failed me

    The model X had major problems with there Falcon style doors. The model 3 will not have this feature. My friend has a Model S, and he loves it and has had no problems. I was one of the first to get a PIP and loved the whole electric ride, and know I'm going to really enjoy this car. They are engineered differently, and the electric ride will be that much sweeter.

    Again, don't get me wrong. I really loved my PIP. I loved filling it every other week for $16-18$. I miss people hearing that swirling noise as I pulled up next to them.

    I'm also bullish on Tesla reliability. Most of the issues that I've read about is about the luxury features of the Model X and S such as the falcon wing doors and pop out door handles. The Model 3 will have none of those things.

    Good luck on the 2018 release date.

    Maybe Model 3 buyers will be more accepting of paint issues and fit and finish issues. I canceled my reservation. I was planning on getting a loaded Model 3 but decided to wait a few years for them to iron out the small issues they have. To buy a new car and have long waits to have it repaired is not for me. There is a reason I have always owned Japanese cars. I will say the Tesla is the most amazing car I have ever driven. I can see why people ignore the problems. It puts a huge smile on your face driving it
