Howdy :) I've noticed some folks on this site list that they have a Package #9 Prius. I have package #8, and was never offered, nor heard of, package #9. Here is what the Prius website lists as the options for #8...and they list no package #9 on their site. Thanks for your help!

*********Package #8 -- includes driver and front passenger front seat-mounted side and front and rear side curtain airbags [2], anti-theft system and auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink® [5] universal transceiver, Smart Key System, backup camera [3], Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) [4], High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps and integrated fog lamps, JBL® AM/FM 6-disc in-dash CD changer with nine speakers in seven locations, auxiliary audio jack, MP3/WMA playback capability and hands-free phone capability via Bluetooth® [6] wireless technology, voice-activated DVD navigation system [7], and leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel**********

Package $9 was the top-of-the-line for 2004. Package $6 was the top-of-the-line for 2005. For 2006, the top-of-the-line is package #8. You're not missing anything. (In fact, I believe the 2006 package #8 includes more than the 2004 package #9 and the 2005 package #6, but don't quote me on this.)

When you register for PriusChat and put in your car info, the default is #9. Many people seem to not notice this. Thus, their vehicle information is incorrect (and confusing to newbies).

Edited to reflect correction from IsrAmeriPrius. Thanks!

No. Number 9 was the top package in the 2004 model year. For 2005 the option combinations were reduced to 6, thus #6 was the top of the line in the 2005 model year.

The various options for 2004 and 2005 were the same. The packages changed to remove the rear wiper, which became standard in 2005 and reduce the combinations. In fact the 2004 package 9 is the same as the 2005 package 6.

In 2006 some options were added, such as the rear camera, which resulted in a different set of packages.
