Can somebody do a quick Photoshop? I wonder if it would look better if that nosepiece was black like the rest of the front. Im thinking it could Make it look like part of the front and not part of the hood...

Is this the idea you were thinking of? I like the car either way.

Nice job! That's exactly what I was thinking. It looks better like this to me.

speaking of the hatch, i would have preferred they spend time and money losing the blocker bar in the window, vs the double bubble.

NO!!!! I'll have to fight you on this one... That blocker bar blocks the headlights from tailgaters. I really really like that about the Prius. I often wish it was a mirror....

    Why do you dislike it?

the view is disrupted and annoying. especially when backing up. it's particularly difficult in tight parking lots when trying to back in or out, and a lot of pedestrians crossing your path. but i also can't see what model car is behind me, or the license plate. i prefer to let the mirror do the dimming.

I guess I've gotten used to that part of it. It doesn't really bother me backing up.

:) and I don't mind that you dislike it! I guess thats why Toyota does market research. So they know what people want and expect. Like more EV range, a 5th seat, a spare tire, no toilet bowl porcelain look...

When we were considering Prius the disjointed rear window was pretty much my main negative. Still not impressed, but guess it's a construction necessity?

When the rear seats are flipped down it seems better somehow.

The most likely solution implemented would have been what we get in other new cars. The lower window would just be removed, and we see even less out of the back window.

maybe so, but that wouldn't account for the time and money spent on a double bubble carbon fibre fancy dancy, hoochie coochie hatch door prime is getting.

You're forgetting that 100% of all vehicles starting in 2018 will have backup cameras. (It's a federal safety mandate.)

Which will let car designers be less mindful of visibility out of the rear.
If the rear camera can't be left on, it can't be used in checking whats behind you while driving forward.

if i can tell the judge after i backed into a pedestrian that they weren't in my camera view, and she's good with that, then they can eliminate the whole rear window.

for now, it's hard to look at the cam when you're looking over your shoulder. but i'm sure tech will solve all the problems down the road. it's just that i would like to lose the bar now.

Does the moonstone interior ALWAYS come with that blue accent? Thinking about getting the car in white and moonstone, but don't want to have that color accent.

What blue accent? I don't see any blue accents in that image.

I have a question about Moonstone as well. Has anyone seen Titanium Glow with Moonstone? Are those two compatible? I can imagine Moonstone in all the other exterior color Primes but not Titanium.

Okay, I just looked. The insides of the vents are indeed a blue-green color. I never even noticed it.
