And the Right doesn't whine profusely when they're attacked? LOL, gimme a break, it's all the same: "Oh the media, they're so liberal and evil, why are they so mean to us?!" It's funny how the one side always sees the faults of the other side w/o seeing they have the same faults.

Think about it, if someone like Ann Coulter came out on the Left, the Right would have a field day! "Oh my gosh what a crazy b@#!@," they'd say.

Hmmm, when writing this at first I was going to lament the horrible woe and gloom of having more Coulters in the world (since it would mean the loss of rational reasoned debate and the rise of Jerry Springer Show-like screaming and mudslinging), but on the other hand, if she really represented the average Right-wing supporter, I bet a lot of conservatives would be repulsed at their own party.

Coulter and the other screaming head pundits add nothing to the national debate. All they do is appeal to raw emotion. It's just entertainment.

Well, I'll be the first to admit that as a straight ticket Democrat voter, I know "my side" has got some whackos selling books or propoganda as well. For sensible conservatives, I'm sure they disagree with her approach even if they may occasionally agree with her message. Let's not kid ourselves. She's smart enough to know who her readers are and that what she or anyone else puts in political books sells if its sensational.

I don't doubt that she's smart- I think she knows exactly what she's doing. She probably didn't have much talent as a lawyer, but she's making money hand over fist as a liberal-bashing porn peddler.

Whenever I go into Barnes & Noble (I prefer small, independent bookstores, but B&N is near my office) and I want to get a serious political book to read, I pass by tables loaded with all the politcal-bashing books. And they have them from both sides, to make sure they reach the widest audience. I'm not interested in reading every "Bush is a moron" book, even though I share that opinion. Few of them, though, are on a level with Ann Coulter. Also, she is dangerous. I read something in the news about her speaking at some college, and exhorting the male students in the audience to go beat the crap out of a Muslim student who was alleged to have some connection with the Taliban.

Ann Coulter is smart indeed- she "writes" in a style that requires no thought or talent; no more effort than just gorging yourself with handfuls of laxative and waiting for it to come out. The people who buy her books, though- they probably don't register far into the double digits on the IQ test.

Apparently, this was one of the wives she was referring to... Ann was most certainly not making a generalization, rather pointing out the scumbags...

"Howard Stern had this one woman on bragging about how her and their children and the stupid new boyfriend do crack and other drugs as well as travel around the world getting absolutely wasted using all of the money that was contributed to them via the "9-11 widow fund". "

Again, getting back to the topic of the thread, I personally would never by an AC or Limbaugh or O'Reilly book, but until there is less of a market for what they're selling or saying, it's not going to change. Whether I like it or not, this country may still be at the point that a decent Rep. candidate will beat a decent Dem. candidate in most parts of the country. If I'm going to convince people otherwise, it's going to be by talking to them, not insulting them for disagreeing with me. If either party does that enough, the AC of the world (from both sides) will lose most of their appeal and be more marginalized.

    As far as all the Hitler references go, I think John Stewart put it best when he said;

"All this talk comparing people to Hitler is demeaning to Hitler! He worked hard to have the reputation that he has."

Ann Coulter knows that when you think you're an idiot it's always better to scream at the top of your lungs so everyone knows for sure.

I heard Ann Coulter used to date Hitler. He grew that ugly mustache after he got her panties off and saw how she shaved.

I heard the KKK is suing Ann Coulter cause she used up all the hate in the universe.

I heard Chuck Norris got scared cause Ann Coulter's mouth is so filthy.

Mothers used to wash kids mouths out with soap when they swore. Now we all smell cause Ann Coulter's mom exhausted the world's supply of soap.

Ann Coulter likes to take pictures of herself shooting guns. But don't worry, never shoots at whites.

When Ann Coulter was in school she was taught, if you don't have anything nice to say, say it really loudly. She got an A+.

Conservative leg humpers think Ann Coulter is Hawt but they don't know she's actually a guy in drag, cause no woman could hate that much.

If Bush pushes the big Red Button and we all die except for Ann Coulter, larkinmj, jared2, and hybridthevibe, the human race is doomed as the only sex going on will be gay sex cause she still wouldn't do you.

Ninjas had real ultimate power... until Ann Coulter opened her mouth, then all the Ninjas ran away and cried, afraid of the Great White Hate.

Mystery Squid used to be a conservative until Ann Coulter got a restraining order against him for stalking.

Most of you probably won't belive this, but Ann Coulter is married to James Carville. Talk about left and right, Yin and Yang.

You're thinking of Mary Matalin. She is a conservative republican, but not a looney idealogue like Coulter. Some people find it surprising that Carville and Matalin could be married to each other, but they really are similar political strategists; they just represent opposite parties.

Ann Coulter is not married. I cannot believe that there is a man on this planet who would subject himself to that (except Mystery Squid).
