That's a point - in decades past, they used to break in and steal the stereo - no point stealing a custom unit which will only fit one particular shaped dash.

 

Andover and Fisk are the two largest in MA; there are probably others I don't know. Go to an American Institute of Organbuilders convention and you'll be surprised how many people work in the industry, although the majority of them are in maintenance and rebuilding rather than construction of new instruments. I've worked for two shops, one in the Puget Sound area and another in Illinois, where I was a voicer for several years. There are currently ~25 members of the Associated Pipe Organ Builders of America, representing a tremendous variety of styles, and work seems to be pretty steady for all of them.

You need to turn off the random function. It's sort of shaped like an infinity symbol on the bottom of the screen. On the left side of the bar next to that button there is a colored bar that lights up when random is on and it disappears when it is off.

 

I'll check that - but I seem to think it's off. It's the nature of files saved onto USB that they don't seem to recognise the Latin alphabet - or that they sort and play in some order other than "FILE NAME". I'll have another go, thought checking that "button".Actually - now that I'm heading to the car to check that, I remembered - the problem is:
1) with a CD, it's burned in track order, or with a ReWriteable CD, I burn it in order of how I want to listen; BUT

2) with a USB, it saves them in alphabetical order - but I don't necessarily want to listen to a Piano Concerto in order of "Andante -> Allegretto -> Rondo". That's just RONG. It's worse if I include a number of Concertos or Symphonies - they play even RONG-ER. I've actually tried renaming them on the USB, prefixing with a 1,2,3 or ABC, but that didn't make any difference.

 

The basic Prius 2017 has the black console, while it seems that the technology package comes with the white.
I personally think that the white is really nice, especially at night as there is a small light beam that make it glow.

Yes, most likely. The models are named differently here in Canada and comes in slightly different packages. The one I have is pretty much like the Three.
All that to say that the white console matches the white color of the car which is awesome, just like the car by itself!

 

It doesn't look like it's just a console applique, because you would still be able to see the white where the applique doesn't cover the cupholders.

On the Two and Two Eco, the console is black... I have the shifter applique on my Eco, so it looks similar to the photo.

 

Did you get the appliqué from your dealer or order online?

 

Dealer. They ordered my car that way. Only options were carpets plus (front, rear and cargo) and shifter applique.

I seem to remember that the shifter applique was pretty expensive for what it is... a thin piece of molded plastic. $40-55 IIRC. I would have bought it despite the price since I don't like the white shifter surround, but luckily the dealer ordered my car with one.

 

Thanks. I only got the carpets. I ordered the Toyota all-weather mats & cargo that I really wanted from Amazon less expensive than from the dealer or PriusChat Shop.

 

The white makes spotting spills and cleanup easier!

I have 2017 advanced technology Prius and I had to pay a premium for blizzard white exterior because it is the only option (except red) to get beige (not depressing black) interior.
However the interior color combinations does look very cheap and strange for me.
First, the carpets (both summer and winter) are black which does not IMHO match in appearance to harvest beige salon AT ALL!.
Second, the bezel around the monitor is shiny piano black, which contrast with beige car dashboard big time.
Finally, console and shiftier are cheap looking porcelain (aka bidet) white which look like "thorn-in-the-flesh" of beige salon interior.
Having said all this I must admit that I am in the process of getting used to this colors cacophony.
Nonetheless, ideally I'd like to have not a black and not a white options, but say mahogany (or similar) option for dashboard accents and console.

 

Personally, I do not like fake plastic wood trim in my 2008 Corolla LE.

 

Looks a lot better than Mazda's attempt in the '70s. And probably wouldn't show the dust as much as BLACK. It's a pity you can't have plastic wood instead of the Black and keep the White. My Mum got into my car at least 4 times yesterday - and I think each time proceeded to dust (or is that un-dust) the black on the dash.
