I gave up on my CD player 5 years ago when purchased 2005 model. I use the cassette adapter to a mp3 player which works fine. Just recently the disc ejection system started working at start up for about a minute then stops. Hoping someone could help me with any answers to this?

For giggles, try pulling the fuse for the player. Leave it pulled for a few minutes and then re-install. Works for me when the system REFUSES to eject a disc.

Other option is to pull the 12-v negative cable, but that is more of a hassle, since you have to reset things in the car -- including disabling the reverse beep, if you ever disabled it in the first place. Yeah, fuse is easier.

These codes relate only to the MFD systems. 63-51 is a CD error:
    • 63-51 = Elevator Error. Mechanical Error During Elevator Operation.
The date is Nov 22, 2016

CD Changer: All these codes mean is to check the radio or player or the actual disc, and replace if necessary

Thanks dolj, It looks like it is time for me to do a refurbished audio system. I'm worried that if I don't stick to the original unit that I'll end up with it not working with the steering controls. Just wish they made a unit w/single CD player that matched OE. Thanks again and l really appreciate this site! Everyone have a great upcoming holiday and be safe.
