I have tried the owners manual googling the subject and looking on this forum. I cannot get the maintenance Required message to reset. Procedure followed as follows:

Put trip odometer on Trip A.
    Turn off engine.
Hold km/mph button and turn on by pressing on button twice with foot OFF brake.

    Doesn't work. Any suggestions?

It takes a few seconds while continuing to hold the switch.

Turn the “Power” switch off with the trip meter A shown.
Turn the “Power” switch to “on” mode with the MPH or km/h button held down.
Keep pressing the button until the trip meter indicates “000000” and the multi-information display indicates that the reset is complete.

I have the same issue. The procedure does not work with my 2015 v three.

Which procedure? The one the OP described or the one RJ posted? How long did you hold down the switch? And what did you observe happening during the final step?

The one RJ posted. I held the m/k button for 20 seconds. The display was as usual, with the trip A mileage showing, no changes.

Good, now maybe someone else can test the process and help you.

As a practical matter, most service advisors I've dealt with will do the reset for you no charge. Especially since your car is so new. I'd ask them to walk you through it referencing that the procedure outlined in the manual doesn't seem to work.

I drove around for a month before giving up and went to the dealer. The service advisor was even baffled and questioned what year my 2015 v was. But he stumbled on the fix. Turn the car on and click the right arrow on the steering wheel and scroll till you see a dot on the screen that says press O and press the center button on your wheel. You will see a menu and you choose Maintenance System. Choose Yes on Initialize. Done
