Hey everyone, Im still rolling around in my 2001 Prius... rather rare car it seems... Its has over 150k miles on it and it may not last me much longer.

Anyways Ive been thinking of getting a Prius C...

I dont like the giant center console in the regular prius... Anyways... just wanted to say Hi!

2001! An antique. Was that the 1.5 liter engine? Is so, that part of the C you 'll be familiar with, although I think the power curve has changed a bit. As with any car, test drive as many varied miles as possible. It's a great little car, but there were trade offs made to keep the weight down and the gas mileage up.

It's more money, but I would also check out the Sonata hybrid. They have only been around a few years, so its hard to predict the long term reliability of their hybrid drive train, but Hyundai as a whole has a good reliability record, and the warantee is better than Toyota. Reviews have been excellent. Battery is larger allowing highway speeds on electric only. Despite the EPA rating, those familiar with hybrid driving techniques have gotten highway mileage into the mid 50s. Downside of the larger battery is no built in spare tire. They will sell you one, but you sacrifice trunk space. Might be worth a look.

Well at 116 per your profile maybe you should be in a scooter not in a Prius :p

The C is a great car and a huge upgrade from a 2001.

The C is the best car I've driven because I've only driven really crappy cars. That said, the interior is on the low quality side with hard plastics. You get rattles.if you don't get the C 3, you won't have the best audio.

Welcome! I'd say it's my favorite Prius for its conventional controls( keyed ignition, actual gearshift). My advice is buy one!!
