LED swap! color change green to blue (in progress)

    soldering rework on surface mount devices.. yea. i don't think it's that difficult.. but then again.. i've been doing this for a while.

    and what kinda sucks is i've moved further north.. I just moved to Vallejo a few weeks ago.. lol.. eep.

    Volkswagen uses red and blue throughout...would love to switch to blue!

    Thanks for the info SquallHeart. I'll try this mod next. Is there a way to remove the silver plastic panel WITHOUT popping off the center airbag unit? I just want to replace the dim LEDs with brighter ones. Did you replace yours with surface mounted LEDs as well or just regular blue LEDs?

    nope..

    you need to pop off the airbag unit. it's not too difficult. i went in with a screwdriver and popped the clips open.

    i replaced them with the same size surface mount leds as the original ones. straight swap.

    Having an extremely hard time getting the cargo light cover off my 2014c4. Is there some sort of trick I'm not getting? Do I have to pull the entire panel off? I can get one side of the light cover off, but broke a plastic tool trying to get the other side off, and I don't think I can get the cover off without legit breaking it.
