    No PiPs before 2012 anyway.

    If you switch the ICE off right after it's started, you can risk THIS happening, especially in colder times of the year.
    I live at the top of a hill and have learnt to always coast in Neutral to the bottom to avoid the ICE kicking in.

    There is enormous commonality between PiPs and non-PiPs of that era, including the 'stab 3 times' method of shutting off power in regular Liftbacks from 2012 onwards. Because of this, we should make certain that drivers of older Liftbacks, up through 2011, don't mistakenly take this as a feature of their cars.

    They should not be looking in a PiP forum that clearly states 2012 - 2015 then.

    (1) 'New Posts' throws all forums together;
    (2) Why not? Most of the subject matter is shared. I see no reason to keep the tribes so separate that they remain ignorant of the lessons learned by the others, so must discover or learn shared issues independently.

    Problem with rolling start is, you have to step on the brake pedal to enter "Ready" mode so you're slowing down also. And there is no steering wheel lock on the PiP.

    Yeah man. It has no assist with the ignition off but you can muscle it. For the curious: it uses a standard "manual" style rack & pinion with a 80's-power-window-motor-sized motor on the column for power assist.

    When rolling, it doesn't take much muscle at all. Parked, it does take muscle, but less than on my previous power steering cars.
