Does any one know where I can get tropical pattern seat covers that won't interfere with the air bags in front? I would also like some for the back seats.

    seasalsa,

Did you order the covers that accommodate side airbags? I just mine a couple of days ago and noticed that the two front covers appear to be identical. So the opening for the airbags is on the left side for both (o.k. for the driver's seat, but not for the front passenger). I posted this question on another site and sent email to GT Covers as well. Hopefully this was just an accident. I would be surprised if this was by design. Also, if you got the covers for the back seat, did you have to literally remove the seat to get the cover on?

    Thanks,
    --Andy

Our GT covers came with openings on opposite sides to match the airbags. I bet it was just a mistake.

    Andy,
Yes, I got the ones for side air bags and the openings were correct. I did not get the rear covers. They are really great and it took about 30 minutes for the first seat and about 20 for the other.

They give great service and if it is a mistake they will take care of it.

Just installed the front seat covers and couldn't be happier with them. They even sent a center armrest over I wasn't expecting. The N-6 beige was a perfect match. But I need HELP!!! I can't figure out how to remove the back saet to install the rear set.

    Hondavalk,
It took me awhile to figure it out, but it is actually simple. The seat is held in place by two clips, located under the middle of the left and right seat. Grasp the seat bottom front edge firmly and pull straight up. I also found that I had to unbolt the rear shoulder seat belts to put the seat back covers on. Bolts are under the seat as well.

Now help me. How and where do you put those little parts on that I got and I think you identified as the front center armrest cover. I got 2 oddly shaped pieces each with 2 small pieces of hard plastic sewn in.

I don't know what those 2 pieces are yet. I was hoping when I put on the rear covers I would be able to figure it out then. The center arm rest cover was one piece with an elastic strap across the middle and was shaped like the arm rest.

I was wondering about those side pieces with the plastic too. I haven't tried installing yet. I just sent back the duplicate left front back cover for the correct one. I was wondering about the rear bench as well. That's going to be an interesting install. :)

A few months ago I had two oddly-shaped pieces that covered over part of the back seat near the door, between waist and shoulder height when you're sitting in the back seat.

    Might those pieces fit there?

I didn't get any arm-rest covers though, that seems like a really good idea! :)

The seats themselves seem well covered without those 2 pieces with the sewn in plastic that I descibed above.

The parts I had with the plastic attached didn't cover the seat per-se, they cover the side part that DOESN'T fold down when the seat backs fold down, near the back doors.

The plastic part "tucks in" to hold that side in place, I think on the door side.

Any instructions or diagrams with your seat covers?

    Thanks, JJay,

Will have to wait 'til I get back to our beloved Prius next week to check it out. Gotta find out before my wife chucks them. (She has already threatened.) Actually, quite close to you at the moment. Sitting in a hotel in Bellevue. Big recertification test on friday.

    Tropical seat covers desired

    Aloha

I am still looking for tropical seat covers that wont interfere with the air bags on my white #9. I tried the previous site but they do not have any tropical fabric. Has anyone attached anything to the antennae? Will it harm it or interfere with the GPS if I put a flower on it?

    Thanks,
    Tara

Sorry, only found them surfing for covers myself. Don't know anything about fit or quality. They have some pictures of pre-2004 priuses.

Tara I would call Great Covers at 1-866-755-6005 and ask about fabric choices because they have alot more then those listed on their web site.
JCHU Thanks for telling me how to remove the back seat by just pulling up on the seat front. The 2 odd pieces do go on the outside edges of the seat back. The short one goes under the battery vent side.
