    it doesn't matter what you owe at the end of the year, it only matters whether you've pais ANY taxes. it's a credit, not a deduction, so if you have paid $4,500. or more in total for the year, you get a credit of $4,500. and a check back. if you still owe $4,500. or more at the end of the year, you can deduct $4,500. from your payment. i'm retired, living on bank interest, but even at 50k in income, you're still paying 15% or so. that's $7,500.unless you have serious deductions.

    Our combined Fed/State tax is 57 cents per gallon. I should've bought a Prius 12 years ago... instead of that gas-guzzling V6 Camry that Dianne sold me. :LOL:

    I spoke with Dianne at Carson Toyota and was just quoted MSRP minus the rebate.

    So the price is pretty much the same anywhere at this time.

    That said, Dianne has been very responsive and most professional out of all dealerships.

    Just don't expect to get a better deal.

    Interestingly, I checked the 2017 Prius inventory at a large Toyota dealer here in the mountain west (high desert) and virtually every vehicle had the moonstone interior ..... compare that to black one the west coast.
    A black interior is unbearable in the high desert.
