    New member to forum!

I have a 2009 Prius & I want to upgrade to a Prius Prime. One question I have is about how low one sits in the car. I've read that the newer models are a bit lower than my 2009 - and I'd rather sit a little higher, not lower.

Does anyone have any impressions of the seating height?

I believe there is a seat height adjustment.

The car's roof line is a little bit lower (20mm). If you want to be a little higher, does that mean you want your head closer to the roof, or just farther from the ground? If the former, adjust the seat height. If the later, buy a truck.

Yes, I think there is motorized seat height adjustment. But I'm tall, not short - it's more how easily you can get in and out that I'm interested in. I think that's a function of seat height & vehicle height. Wish I could find one in Minnesota to ogle in person before I place my order!

Just go see a 2016 or 2017 Prius lift back. It's essentially the same car, with just some minor differences, and this isn't one of those differences.

I have the advanced model.and the power seat adjustment for height goes pretty high, I'm 5 foot 10 inches and moving the height of the seat to maximum gets my head very close to the ceiling of car

I am 5'5. Test drove a prime before. It feels higher than my 07 prius.

According to the owners manual, page 287, both the manual and power seats have a vertical seat height adjustment.

Ok, here's the opposite, but FWIW I thought I'd throw this out. I'm barely 5' 0" and have a short torso relative to my legs. With the seat all the way up, I swear I am about a half or full centimeter higher in the manual pump seat vs the power seats. I had the same experience with both the 2016 Prius 2 vs 4, as well as the Prime Plus vs Premium. I thought I was imagining it at first, but there is a subtle difference in at least how high the seats go. I thought the power seats would have a higher range, but I kept feeling like I just wasn't quite high enough in either the Gen 4 4 or the Premium, and the seat wouldn't go up more. When I put the seat all the way up in the 2 and Plus, it felt about right. I obviously didn't think to check the opposite, but can measure next time I test drive. (Not sure when that will be though.)

I will say that both Primes were quite similar to both Gen 4s if that helps.
And I have driven across several states sitting on a World Book Encyclopedia "M" in the past in the family's old conversion van... Phone books have more give, but I'll invest in a pillow if need be.
