Probably the same personality that has to push all limits. I'm that person. Fortunately the PiP lets me make it to a gas station after running out.

So you are not going over the real limit on any regular basis?

I would draw a distinction between the folks who occasionally come close to the cliff to survey what is there, vs those who are unintentionally but continually falling over it.

I am looking to buy my first Prius and am excited. Where on this thread can I find the difference in the Prius Models? IE... Prius 1,2,3 etc..

I drive 100-200 miles per day. I have a Corolla now and it does great on gas, but would love to see those higher numbers. Is the Prius for me?

I really like to emerge myself in a new purchase. So, any help with my new endeavor would be greatly appreciated.

2016 Toyota Prius Two vs. 2016 Toyota Prius Four vs. 2016 Toyota Prius Three

2016 Toyota Prius c One vs. 2016 Toyota Prius c Two vs. 2016 Toyota Prius c Three vs. 2016 Toyota Prius c Four

2016 Toyota Prius v Two vs. 2016 Toyota Prius v Three vs. 2016 Toyota Prius v Four vs. 2016 Toyota Prius v Five

There isn't going to really be a difference in MPG between the different trims its really just options like backup camera and what not.

Thanks a lot Squeakasaur. Lots of helpful info there. It looks like either the Prius C or Prius for me. I'm looking for the most mpg's. Still lots of questions regarding the Prius'. Very new to me.

So, what would be the advantage/disadvantage of a Chevy Volt vs the Prius?

    Volt advantages:
    First 50 miles on EV
    Possibly HOV access

    Prius advantages:
    Better fuel economy
    Cheaper
    More space

Don't forget the two BIGGEST Prius Advantages: Quality & Reliability

From my research, different tires, softer springs, stiffer shocks/struts and anti-roll bars - generally "better" ride and handling.

I only *sort of* agree. There is no large difference in MPG on varying trim lines (Prius Two vs Prius Four) but there *are differences between models (Prius vs Prius v or Prius c).
The Prius is the newest generation and gets the best MPG, IMHO. The newest generation increased efficiency & handling.
The Prius v loses some MPG since it is larger & heavier, much like a station wagon.
The Prius C is primarily for city driving and has a smaller engine.
Here are EPA combined numbers. Unlike the Corolla, city MPG is higher than highway.
2017 Prius - 52 MPG (Eco gets 56, in theory)
    2016 Prius c - 50 MPG
    2017 Prius v - 41 MPG

New 2016 Prius 4 Touring owner and actually pretty excited about it. Friend of the family was an employee of the dealer and I got a smoking deal. I just picked up the car today, found this forum and joined. At first, I was so tossed up on what to get and it was very hard to step away from a getting what I'm used to... a V8 or V6 however the gas milage is what drew me to buying and the new look. I also just did all the legal paperwork with VW for the TDI buy back so this is a fresh start for my daily commute that now cost me $3.36 cents to work round trip ;)

I'v been reading all the forums on here. Looks like the best move you can make is to get window tint and your done. Things I'm going to research more on are lowering the car with new springs an finding someone who has 100% successfully found the correct charging case for the iPhone 6 plus S.

I have scraped the lower front part of my car many times, with just the stock suspension. Just FYI. it's pretty low as is.

Welcome. Many, especially Blizzard Pearl owners have wrapped the roof in black.

That's another oddity. I bought the blizzard pearl white because I enjoy seeing a sparkly white color. Why would somebody covered it up with black plastic?! And then there's the California heat... it's just gonna make the inside hotter.

But what do I know. I'm an old man of 62, not 19. :ROFLMAO: Lowered cars and "wrapped" cars are for kids.

Thats good to know, very good. May not be doing springs at all. Honestly after diving deep in the conversations on here, the best mod or mods you could do are cosmetic minor things ie; window tint haha, lip kit / side skirts.

There's lots of threads and pictures showing mods. Nice looking cars.
Maybe if I was younger, and had money… :ROFLMAO: I have to remain "stock." I blew my entire savings on just the price of the car alone.

Then why did Toyota decide to lower the Prius compared to the previous generation?
I am about the same age as you. :(

Send that California heat my way. It was 15F this morning.
