A lot of those items can be changed on the big screen. In the vehicle settings. I've been through those several times. (The only thing you can't do on the big screen, is the key fob deactivation.)

It is on the screen to the right of the speed, in the US. (to the left, for RCO, I expect.)

I don't have a garage and also do short trips the same as you do. I have a 2010 gen 3 Prius 2 and just changed the 12 volt original battery after 6 years of service. Never had a problem with the old or new battery. In the Texas heat battery only last about 6 years. I have never owned a charger in my 60 years of driving. If your battery is going dead you need a new battery or need to get what ever is draining it fixed.

I would hope he is not seeing a 12V issue with his 2016 Prius

And learning to use multi quote, merged.

We Gen 4 people need to quit derailing the threads for older models.

My original replay of needing to turn off smart key system was for gen 2 Prius. Gen 3 smart key system does not use that much current and I have no idea about gen 4.

Just let me reply to lar.smith, and then I'll get out of here.
Thanks, I don't have any problems with my 12v battery, I was just asking for general information. If I can get six years out of it, that would be great. I usually only got a maximum of three years with my Camry batteries.
Excuse me for being in the wrong forum. Take care, guys.
