Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't all windshields curved?

There was issues with the hatch production that delayed the Prime release in Japan, and it sounds like there is still issues in the hatch build quality that is could be slowing production down.

If Toyota went to a more in depth oil life monitor than a simple odometer timer, or just a simple hour meter on their hybrid engines, you'd be changing the oil less often than 10k miles.

Yes, but things can get tricky curving one way and then the other, and still have non distorted view through it.
In Samsung case, they might be talking about curving that sapphire glass 90 degrees.

Having a view that isn't distorted involves design. I think that the suggestions that having a reverse curve makes the glass much more difficult to manufacture and therefore more expensive are so far completely unsubstantiated. Often it is made because the rear glass seems frivolous and runs counter to the efficiency and practicality of the Prius brand. It is seen strictly as a matter of style. I guess that argument is true, but I like the way it looks and design is as almost as important as efficiency to me.
