What are the symptoms of the battery dying?

    what do you think is the symptom that MFD doesnt work means it lights up but not showing the battery bars and stereo doesnt work also, it shows " the external system is not connected". When l take a long distance trip lets say 100 miles everything comes back and works perfect. How is the system connecring now?Recently l replaced 12V battery but it seems that has nothing to do with it. So, when it comes back ot works perfect. please advice if you have any idea why MFD doesnt work at all times.
