    Hello everyone!

After reading a few posts on here, I was curious as to why Elite Automotive has such a bad name?

I had them do a traction battery in my '06 Prius when I first bought the car (it needed a new one bad, lol).

When they came out to do my battery, they were nothing but polite and provided me with excellent customer service. The guy even let me watch him/take photos, and also knocked out a dent from the inside when he had the rear interior out and didn't charge me for that!

The guy who came out and worked the owner was fantastic, and showed me all sorts of cool features that I never knew about!

It's been six months, and the battery is still going strong! I am still getting over 50MPG with the pack.

    Why are they a scam?

I am sure that their batteries aren't '60k batteries from an '09 Prius', but $900 installed at my house sure as heck beats taking it to the dealer! (It was $919 for tax and all, out the door)

So far I am very satisfied with their services.

I am lost for words here! Lol.

It's like someone advertising a 2009 prius for sale and you find out after you buy it, it's actually a 2004. Although it works, it's really not the same deal and won't be as reliable. That's what elite is doing with batteries

    JC, that makes sense.

    Luckily it still works!

Next time I get a battery, I think I am going to stay away from these guys.

Looks like they've changed their name to Armstrong Hybrid Automotive out of Owensville, MO (a bit south of Jefferson City, MO)

So sorry to hear you got taken by them Katie. As a long time Prius enthusiast, I would recommend you have a new battery installed in your 2006 Prius. I know its a lot of money but, its really the only reliable way to go.
