Correct, the only current code is P0A7A-325. I haven't had time to dig deeper on this but hopefully over the weekend I will figure it all out!

hi when following the manual, I am not able to generate the "EXCLUSIVE INFO 4" after you press enter on the subcode 325 in techstream. is there a trick to generate this number in techstream.

I am referring to page of the manual 05-648 of the manual on the link above.

I suspect I have a bad transaxle but I want to confirm it. I already replaced the HV battery with a good running one and inverter I did some basic.

I have the error code P0A7A-325

Interesting, I wasn't aware you could do that on the FFD screen. I have just loaded some saved files and tried various things, but don't seem to dig down into the "Detail Code x" fields. I did notice though, that one of the codes I had was a P0A08, with INF 264 and below the main set of data points there are a whole bunch of 264-xxxxxx data points listed. Could it be that in Techstream this is to what the manual refers?

I guess I would expect to see 325-EXCLUSIVE INFO 4 there.

Other than that I'm not sure what else to suggest. If you feel like it, can you do a screengrab of the FFD and attach here? That may reveal something that jumps out to one of us.

Let us know how you get on.

What do you the see on freeze frame data for that code? The directions given are given to hand held tester. But you can always get the same data with Techstream. Dealerships don't necessary even have hand held testers.

I think I managed to upload a screenshot of the frame data here:
    P0A7A 325 | PriusChat

let me know any thoughts on transaxle malfunction. my next step might be to do some testing with my multimeter at the 2 sets of 3 prongs from the inverter. MG1 and MG2.

the car makes an attempt to start by going on "READY" mode for 1 second. but the engine or nothing starts, I just hear a click on the back of the battery and on the inverter.

I am also planning to change the transaxle fluid and inspect for metal shavings....

I am not really sure I can access this INFO dataset. maybe you can only do it with the techstream hand held unit but not the techstream laptop. Please let me know otherwise if someone figures it out.

It should be possibility to get all the same information with Techstream laptop as with hand held tester. You just need to figure out where to find the information.

So you have gone through all pages of freeze frame data and it's not there? Nothing in utility or tests?

Might be with a different name. Anything with simular looking values on freeze frame?

Yeah the first five are the codes the rest of them are because it’s not connecting and charging to the hybrid system I think

Are you planning to troubleshoot the communication network errors your car has been consistently reporting?

Well I would like to but the text stream doesn’t seem to be able to communicate with the computers in the system.

In your screenshot, all the ECUs are showing as yellow, "status unknown", as if it hasn't tried to communicate with any of them yet.

Is that screenshot from before or after clicking the Health Check button at the left?

Have you double-clicked any individual ECU on that screen to see what happens?

Don't you think you will get better advice and help by posting a proper informative thread in one of the Gen 3 forums seeing as the car in question is a 2011 Gen 3?

After clicking health check. When I do the health check it first says it can’t communicate I just click continue. It is my first time using this program and just trying grasp all its directories.

You have multiple engine circuit fault codes after doing an engine swap. You should get a complete wiring diagram and start testing the wires between the affected sensors and the ECM. See if a harness got pinched under a bracket or between the engine and trans.

I would first concentrate on the cam sensor. Read up in the OE service manual exactly what the ECM is looking at to set that code. May have to unplug the ECM and (carefully) backprobe the cam sensor wires- then check resistance of the entire circuit (with the sensor plugged in)- then check the circuit for shorts to ground, and shorts to power.
