So how about a Hummer chasing a Prius...

Cut to a view of the Prius consumption screen showing 50 mpg...

Cut back to an external view of the Prius in slo-mo, sailing safely over to the other side of the drawbridge...

Cut back to the Hummer barrelling along...

Cut to the Hummer's gas guage hitting "E"...

Cut to an external view of Hummer barely coasting up to the edge of the open draw-bridge... rocking back and forth a few times, and then falling down the gap and exploding.

Again the Prius skid-stops facing the camera, and the tag line appears (Who says hybrids aren't cool?)

    Peter.

    Or...

A huge tornado is chasing a Prius and a Hummer...

    Both are neck-and-neck...

Cut to external view of Prius barrelling along, low camera angle near the wheel front wheel.

Cut to Prius Consumption Screen showing 50mpg...

Cut to extern view of Hummer, barrelling along...

Cut to internal view of gas guage on "E". Sounds of Hummer engine sputtering...

Cut to external front view of both cars showing hummer falling behind and disappearing into tornado.

Cut to view of Prius in slo-mo flying down the ramp of an underground parking garage...

Cut to view of Prius skid-turning to face camera, with tag line underneath in parens after a few seconds (Who says hybrids aren't cool?)

    Peter.

Peter -- I love the creativity -- my only critique is that the Prius doesn't explode at the end....

....just giving you a hard time :)

Yes. It would hardly be a blockbuster without the explosion. It's a key part of our vision.

My "that's entertainment" statement was rather tongue-in-cheek. I have looked at your website and I think the entire idea amounts to a childish prank. While I don't care for things being blown up just for the sake of blowing them up, I'd might be far more enthusiastic if there was a clear message with your concept, but there's not.

LOL When I first read this, I thought it said 'tomato' as in "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes." http://www.killertomatoes.com/main.asp

I know! Peel the hybrid badges off a Prius and put them on a Hummer... Then blow up the Hummer! Does that address your critique? :p

(Sorry, I just can't see me getting any closer than that to wanting to blow up a perfectly good Prius!)

Does say, Mission Impossible 3 have a clear message? With the possible exception of Tom Cruise using it as a promotional tool for the church of scientology, I'd say it's basically eye candy. A bunch of people run around and some stuff explodes.

We want to make a short action movie. It's not a prank, it's a piece of entertainment -- according to our definition.

OK, I'll stop trying to convince you guys it's a good idea....just remember it's all in good fun.

Pretty much the reasons it bombed at the box office and why I didn't go to see it or M:I.1 or M:I.2 either.

The world would disagree with you on the "bombed" part......$328 Million worldwide:
    http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=mi3.htm

And the critics surprisingly liked it to:
    http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mission_impossible_3/

But again, I'm not trying to get you to like explosions, just saying that there's a place for it in the realm of movies.....

You would have had to give me $60,000. I may be easy, but I'm not cheap.

lol. Well, she's already demanded GPS in the new one, so it's not just a straight up trade.....she may get a few bucks for her trouble if there's some left.

Maybe we'll be able to afford you for the sequel.....

Now what you REALLY ought to do, is anthropomorphize the cars. Cute, happy Prius, Big Bully Hummer. Cars hate each other, Hummer in bar (gas station) all day, sucking down 'brew', Prius taking kids on nature trips, hangs around with NICE cars. Hummer gets belligerent weaves all over road, hunts down Prius, afore mentioned chase ensues, exhaust seeking missile hits Hummer cause it pollutes so much more. Voila, fun AND a moral.

(Phew! You know, this script writing gig is HARD!)

It would appear that the wrong person is making the movie!! I see much more imagination in the Prius posters and not so much from the one who can only think to destroy a perfectly good vehicle. As with the Pepsi commercial, where the Coke can comes in for the a$$ kicking, perhaps the Prius could have a stunt stand in......
