Argh, just spaced out while backing up and scraped the side of my bumper. About an inch by three of the shiny new paint got shaved off, plus some other minor scratches.

Can something like this be successfully repaired, or am I looking at a whole new bumper?

If it can can be repaired, anyone good in LA?

 :(

Sounds like a job for a paint shop. They'll likely want to remove the bumper, sand and smooth out the affected area, then repaint and reapply the clearcoat, then put the bumper back on the car. Probably at least a couple of hundred dollars.

GTA Auto body in Northridge did mine, and did a decent job after I was attacked by a tire tread on the 118. New bumper, foglight, lower grill, front spoiler, and passenger door repaint.
