Great examples of disinformation, I will admit.

Dude, using "disinformation" as the "word of the day", really lowers the bar on the whole concept... Please stick to unique words for which most have likely never heard or used... Then again, do whatever the hell you want, I don't care anyway...

I disagree. Many people throw words around (not naming names) very easily, not really knowing what they mean. or how the word has been used. It is interesting to look up terms you think you know in the dictionary. Leads to greater precision in language and therefore in thought. Or is that against your agenda? And speaking of "lowering the bar", you know all there is to know about that.

Here I'll sum it up bluntly and to the point:

"disinformation" is a common word whose meaning is inherently obvious to anyone with an IQ of 10.

By making it a "word of the day" you really lower the bar...

What next, "Dog" as the "word of the day"?

Disinformation or information that makes you "feel" uncomfortable.

"Obvious to anyone with an IQ of 10"
There you go talking about yourself again. This is the familiar pattern of your posts - attack quickly with a snide put-down intead of actually trying to learn something. There is an interesting distinction (at least to those who care about words more than posters) between disinformation and progaganda. Propaganda is spreading information for a cause (orginally relgious); disinformation is the deliberate speading of false information (lies) to influence public opinion. By not bothering with this distinction, which the defintions in the OED helps to make, you simply reveal the speciousness of your thought.

By the way, I note in general the vacuity of your posts. This is not a personal attack, but a comment on the thoughts expressed. They are full of vindictive criticism and entirely lacking in ideas. I honestly can't think of one single thought-provoking topic or idea you have posted. Some nice pictures, yes. A few jokes. Lots of bashing. That's about it. I would love to see one of Bush's minions post a well thought out defense of the war policy in Iraq, for example. Just how is it making us safer from terrorism? How is it worth all the billions and all the lives? Take your time. Quality is a bit better than quantity sometimes. Given the widely recognized disasterous state of the war, and the fact that the majority of the public is now against it, the burden of proof is on the war's defenders, not its critics. Again, if this is criticism, it is meant to be constructive.

Just keep drinking the red kool-aid and chanting your mantras...

"Republicans keep us safe...Republicans keep us safe......."

    Meanwhile....

Containers entering the US- NOT INSPECTED

    Bin Laden- NOT FOUND

    Homeland Security-TOTAL MESS

    Iraq-TERRORIST TRAINING GROUND

    Gov't Spending-OUT OF CONTROL

    Illegal NSA Wiretapping

    CIA Leaks

The list goes on and on.

You guys are pathetic. This would never have happened under a Dem. Sure maybe a little under the desk action with an intern, but gross incompetence like this? NEVER!

It ALWAYS takes a Democrat to clean up after a Republican.

    BUSH-WORST PRESIDENT EVER!

    Ok ok Ive got one,

Two Arabs boarded a flight out of London. One took a window seat and the other sat next to him in the middle seat.

Just before takeoff, a Marine sat down in the aisle seat.

After takeoff, the Marine kicked his shoes off, wiggled his toes and was settling in when the Arab in the window seat said, "I need to get up and get a coke."

"Don't get up," said the Marine, "I'm in the aisle seat, I'll get it for you."

As soon as he left, one of the Arabs picked up the Marines shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned with the coke, the other Arab said, "That looks good, I'd really like one, too."

Again, the Marine obligingly went to fetch it.

While he was gone the other Arab picked up the Marines other shoe and spat in it.

When the Marine returned, they all sat back and enjoyed the flight. As the plane was landing, the Marine slipped his feet into his shoes and knew immediately what had happened.

"Why does it have to be this way?" he asked. "How long must this go on? This fighting between our nations? This hatred? This animosity? This spitting in shoes and pissing in cokes?"

Kinda sounds like the libs & the conservs..

The sort of presentation and manipulation (making up words to put in Tommy Franks's mouth) of symbols that might appeal to an uninformed voter.

"If you're a REAL MAN, you look tough, put flags everywhere and threaten to kick butt. Anyone who disagrees is a "pussy", including Vietnam vet John Kerry and, presumably, the nuns sometimes seen attending anti-war demonstrations."

The pics of W would make sense if he had not deserted his Air Guard unit. Presumably, like Big Dick, he had "other priorities".

The last one makes no sense. What "religious extremists" does the "left" defend?

I need to comment on the lame propaganda with Bush and Rummie.

First of all, I agree they are unstable, no doubt there. But, if they are really out to get terrorists...........

    WHERE'S BIN LADEN?

Do you righties remember who he was? The guy that orchestrated the 9/11 attacks on our country.....ring any bells. No, not Sadam Hussein. Hussein was the guy that never did anything to us. Hussein was the guy Bush was hell bent on getting before he even took office. I mean stole office.

    The right is pathetic!

I swear some of you are not happy unless you have something to complain about...

I seem to remember Clinton attempting to get Sadam Hussein, & failing.
I could say more but it's just not worth the extra typing.
