Anyone planning to plasti dip their Prime? I've dipped other cars with less exterior tech but worry I'll gunk up sensors or sensitive equipment with the dip.

    Thoughts?

Or perhaps more directly, what tech stuff am I going to ruin when I plasti dip my Advanced an impressively awful shade of colorshifting eggplant-bronze puke?

You bought a Titanium Glow? heh.

Depends what you're plasti-dipping. Watch for the ultrasonic sensors (if you have the Advanced). And don't touch the front Toyota logo (radar sits behind it).

Nah. It's a Magnetic Grey. Would spray black then some flavor of pearl. It is the Advanced. I knew about the emblem radar, but for the ultrasonic sensors, is there a way to color match them without affecting their function, or is spraying them a no go?

Water, snow, road salt. They all interfere with the sensors on my truck. I would imagine plasti-dip would completely block the sensors and make them unusable. I wouldn't put anything on them.

Seems like it, although we have never caused an accident in our lives. My two totals were being rear ended by people not paying attention to rush hour traffic jams on the highway. As in going about 10 mph with traffic and getting hit by someone doing 45 one time and 65 the other time. Amazingly I wasn't seriously injured in either. my first prius was also t-boned by a girl who ran a stop sign and rear-ended by a guy going too fast in snow and slid into me. The wife got hit by a punk kid who was oncoming and made a left turn in front of her. She had her sternum broken. that wasn't fun.

maybe I should hide the target on the cars with plasti-dip.

but what I really need driving in Chicago is something like this...
