When I set up the menu display options on my new 2016 Prius 4 Touring, I remember an option for prompts: something like beginner/advanced. Now I can't find it anywhere.
Also, does the 2016 Prius 4 Touring have the same wiper blade size as the older models? I can't find the specs anywhere. My 2013 Prius 3 had 26" driver, 19" passenger,l 16" rear.

I never saw a "beginner/advanced" option and none is mentioned on the user's manual. Maybe you are referring to the meter and car settings (gear wheel section of the options that you can reach with the left/right buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel)?

The wipers of the Gen4 are physically different from the Gen3 (at least here in EU) - the don't have a metal frame, it is simply all rubber ones. So I don't really think you can carry them over.

    UK wipers are: 28" driver's, 16" passenger's and 16" rear.

I just ordered a set of wiper inserts from the dealer-- not sure what size.

On the Gen 3 you didn't replace the inserts, but rather you replaced he entire blade.

Ditto: if I needed wiper inserts I'd just tell the dealership parts dept guy what I'm driving, let him figure it out.

If you want to know wiper insert length, say to buy aftermarket rubber parts, would measuring with a tape measure suffice?

You can just replace wiper inserts. Here's an excerpt from the Repair Manual. Why Toyota doesn't include basic owner maintenance info like this in the Owner's Manual is beyond me:

Weird thing, when I had the Prius+ (v), the fronts, I had to order the rubber inserts as blades weren't available and the rear, rubber inserts weren't available so I had to order the whole wiper blade.

Thanks for the replies. Weird that I can't find the 2016 Prius wiper blade size posted anywhere. I'll have to ask next time I'm at the dealer.
As for beginner/advanced prompts, in the last month I have gotten a new car, microwave, and TiVo. It may have been another device with that option. In my car, I don't need to be told to put my foot on the brake to start, to only use cruise control on expressways, how to resume cruise control, etc.
Exploring the menu options did help me discover that you can change the split screen display to the right of the speedometer. It was showing eco driving status, which is what I also have in the next screen to the right. The other options there are battery charge (also shown elsewhere for me) or current miles per gallon. I chose MPG.

I have the fuel consumption too in the split screen next to the speedometer.
All the other pop-ups you mention there is no way to remove them. I am not noticing them anymore to be honest as I am looking at the road now, because when I see the right screen change, when I do a specific operation, I know already what the screen is talking about...
I think we can thank lawyers and suing companies for no real reason in the US for all these liability-related screens and manuals that are 800 pages long.

An FYI based upon my recent experience with my 2016 Prius Four. The 2016's front windshield wipers appear to be unique in terms of sizes (front 22" and 14") and connection to the arm: 19 mm push button type connector but with cutout channels on the sides where the blade arm is supported by lateral runners which fit into the channels. Therefore wiper manufacturers' 19 mm push button adapters are of no use.
As of now, I cannot find replacement wipers on either the Toyota site or at any manufacturer's website. This is hard for me to believe, so I guess I've missed something. At least I hope so. The reason for my looking into this is with the onset of winter I found the wipers develop the usual ice build up leading to streaking etc. So much for "all weather" wipers.

    Wouldn't the 2016 be the same as the 2017? If so I found on the Rain-X website;

    Blade Location Length (in.)
    Driver 26"
    Passenger 16"
    Rear 16"

Dealers should have them in stock.

Just curious, since you have both vehicles. Are the Gen 4 & Prime blades the same?
BTW, thank you for clarifying your experience with the Gen 4 since your Profile lists a Prime.

The Rain-X site does not list 2016 Prius but lists 2017. That indicates they may be different in some way.
We know there were some headlight performance improvements in 2017 so there may be other undiscovered differences.
