    Hi all,

Few months ago I have purchased a 07 Prius T Spirit model.
When it got cold o noticed something.
When going on long trips I would set the temperature to 19 degree s and keep the setting on AUTO. After a while the car would get warm so all good. Issue is that after longer while I can feel the vents blowing cold air!
Only way to get them to worm up the car again is to set the temperature higher!
This is causing me to up the temperature every half an hour in order to keep the car worm.
    Help!

Which air vents and fan setting do you normally use? In the winter, use the floor vents and lower fan speed and you won't feel it as much when the thermostat setting is reached. In the summer, it feels better to have the dash vents blowing higher speed on your face and torso. Of course, use defrost when needed, but switch it off when not needed. I only use the combination floor and windshield setting to keep the windshield clear in some high moisture/low temperature conditions, say after a ski trip and the car's full of wet clothing and sweating people.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with a solution. Is "IE" Ireland?

    Ireland it is.
    Thanks,
I use the auto setting. In morning it would go on low and on feet automatically when I set desired temperature and then switch to face/ torso after it reaches the desired temperature automatically as well. The issue is that after few minutes it is blowing cold air.

Isn’t this how it should work? First it heats up the interior to desired temperature and then when temperature is there it can just keep the temperature by blowing colder (but not actually cold) air.

-Maybe you can just select hot enough temperature in the beginning so that you don’t need to raise it during the trip.
-Or maybe you can just turn the system to manual mode and select a temperature of air that it will blow into the cabin.

I use mine in manual mode all winter, 16c temperature, window+feet –mode, blower speed 1 or 2. Window defoggers when necessary.

It is difficult to estimate the actual temperature of blowing air due to the wind-chill effect. You need to use a probe type thermometer inserted in the vent. This is a common issue with heat pumps since they discharge lower temperature air.
