The last few days have been spent researching cars. Jetta Diesel, Prius, wait for a streched Mini, wait for next Generation Prius.??????? So many thoughts and no decisions....
Before this I have always just spent my days doing what I want and never getting out of bed and facing a day of doing something other than what I want.......

Saturday morning is usually dog walk, Trader Joe's and other groceries, yard and house work. Maybe the movies, dinner with friends etc. I am not terribly routine bound.

When I went to TJ's this morning I was the 1st Prius. By the time I came out there was a black one one car over and the folks in the silver ne behind me were just loading their groceries.

Sunday may include any Saturday chore but ususally we throw in a Sype call to Italy. Plus I try to cook some things ahead for the week.

M-F tend to be dog, bfast, work (flexible there too) and I try to hit the gym on the way home, dog again, dinner and relax. Throw a little PC and other varied activities in there .

i work in theatre, so i consider myself lucky to have very little routine. right now, though, i'm at peak simplicity, which is to say i'm in the middle of a show.

monday & tuesday - dark (i.e. nothing in the theatre. days off.)
wednesday & thursday - rehearsals 9am - 2:30pm. afternoons, i do house chores, catch up with email, etc.
friday & saturday - show day. arrive at theatre by 3pm to mop stage, check lights & rigging, prep for actors. show is finished by 8:45pm, post show take about half and hour. go home, watch the west wing on dvd with my fiance and housemates.
sunday - matinee. at the theatre by 11am, done by 4:30pm. maybe go see a movie.

when i'm not in performance, the schedule is much busier. many 10 or 12 hour days for technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals lead up to performance, and several weeks or months of 30 - 40 hour weeks of ordinary rehearsals lead up to that.

and when i'm tour, it's a whole different ball game...

Drive to airport, catch flight to who knows where, work on computers, printers, gate readers, or whatever else needs attention. Fly back, list and get boarding pass for next days flight.

Repeat this for two to three (on ave.) days a week, remaing days work on equipment in MSP.

Weekends, shopping runns, honey-do list, relax.

As the name suggests I commute up and down Route 1 through central NJ. The Prius has actually
    added enjoyment to the commute.

Luckily the company I work for helps to build Hospitals and other types of facilities. Each project
has been different, fun and very rewarding when the job is done.

Between shopping, cooking and all other basic things, the day is full.

Weekends, its the work around the house and we try to get out at least one night.

I work Sat thru Thur one week and Mon thru thur the next. I am off every friday and every other weekend.

I leave for work at 2pm, drive about 25 minutes, find out who called in sick, fill out the patrol assignments, print it out for the dispatchers. I change into my uniform and start rollcall at 2:45 pm. Do admin tasks, pre-prepare the next days schedule, and usually hit the road by 4pm. Drive around, answer calls, stop cars, whatever and generally supervise between 7 and 10 officers until about 10 pm then come in and prepare for end of shift. Go home, go to sleep.

Wake up, do what needs done around house, do some landscape work if I am scheduled to do any...do whatever wife wants me to do.

On days off, mow, work in yard, putter about house...the normal drill

Sundays...Church in AM, lunch with mother after, loaf, go to work on work day, go to church in PM if off.

I lead a very boring life.

Your name ID is great. I live/work in central Jersey and I avoid Route 1 like the plague. Driving a Prius or not, that road is a death trap.

I usually roll in about fifteen minutes late. I sneak in the side door so Lumburg doesn't see me. Then I zone out for about an hour.

    Alternate:
I take the specifications from the customers and I take them down to the software engineers because engineers are not good at dealing with customers. Well, actually my secretary does that, or they're faxed. Look, I deal with the goddamn customers so the engineers don't have to! I have people skills! I am good at dealing with people! Can't you understand that? What the Hell is wrong with you people?

Well the 60+ servers that I sit with and care for plus the two Stratis systems and VISA don't take up two much of my time 7 days a week 24 hour Call. And just if I am doing my job I should have plenty of time to visit with other PRI in the pursuit of PRIZZZness.

Hi Prius guy ! Amazingly, I spend my time singing with a Sweet Adeline A Cappella chorus or just learning new music, enjoying my quilt guild and quilting friends, babysitting the grandboys, helping out soon to be 85 y.o. mom, driving my 06 Silver Pine Mica (3) from Weymouth Ma to Wareham, Ma ( about 55 miles) twice a week. I purcased the car for hubby who will soon be losing his company car. It may be that he will be driving the '05 Escape hybrid I purchased Feb. 05 when gas prices were getting out of control ( or so I thought at the time! lol) and not this amazing Prius! I will look for you and your Prius when I get to Orlando again. Mimi
