Dealer informed me today that my brake switch needs replacement. $350 with parts, labor and diag. Is this an easy DIY? Anyone have a manual/diagram etc?

thanks for your reply jmack. hmm...I was under the impression that it was just an electronic switch somewhere behind the pedal. Have you done it before?

I remember looking for the brake switch on my wife's '05 before a texter totaled it. I wanted to adjust it because it was taking more pressure than I think it should to disengage the cruise control. I could not find a switch behind the brake pedal. Maybe it's actually there and I couldn't find it?

Thank you valde3, that is exactly what I was looking for! After looking at this, I think I'm going to have Toyota handle it. I took the car in to troubleshoot the Brake Actuator Assembly under T-SB-0032-16 (my Brake/ABS lights have been illuminated on the dashboard). I was hoping to have it replaced under warranty but they identified the Brake Switch as being faulty and need to start troubleshooting there first.
