The big screen, reflection still a problem?

Apologies if this topic has already been covered, but I didn't see it anywhere else. On my 2017 Prius Prime Advanced the 11" display screen is incredibly bright at night -- to the point of distraction. Did I miss where/how to lower the brightness? Is there an auto-setting I couldn't find? Am I just SOL?

 

there is, but i don't know where. is there a nighttime setting on the screen, or a brightness wheel on the dash?

 

In the Premium, there is a control switch to the left of the steering wheel, down where the gas tank release is. There is also a setting from the screen, but I don't remember where it is. Mine switches automatically between day and night.

 

on mine, it's in the gps menu, day, night or auto. but i can always click the dimmer wheel to full on for bright.

 

I recall in Prius 2012 model year for Prius, looking through the Canadian specs. Sadly noted: it was no longer possible to get any level without a screen. Our '10 Canadian Touring has no screen, does have the back up camera: image pops up in the rear view mirror.

It can be done, it is possible to have a car without a great effing computer monitor, sucking in more and more functions, functions that used to be controlled by tactile, eyes-on-the-road knobs and sliders.

the large prime screen is overwhelming. i wouldn't want to have to make too many adjustments while driving. they give you hud, so you won't have to take your eyes off the road, and then...
