    congrats and welcome!

i would say any size increase is going to cost some mpg's. how much are you willing to give up?

shouldn't have too much effect, but might depend on the tyres. my 2012 came with 195's, goodyear assurance. i didn't notice any change when i replaced them with michelin energy savers a/s.

That's a little puzzling. In North American Prius either have 195/16R15 or (optional) 215/45R17, both with roughly the same outside diameter. If I'm not mistaken 195/65R15 is the base tire world 'round. Your 185/65R15 is significantly smaller outside diameter: I wonder if a previous owner made an incorrect tire replacement?

I think you're on the right track. Again, I suspect that's the correct tire size.

Is your avatar a picture of your Prius? It looks like a regular Prius. The rims are 5 bolt?

yes is the same body style as the North American model just its right hand drive and the rims are 5 bolt
to my understanding this model is called an L in japan and it should the the base model but i could be corrected

Looks like nice weather there. :)

A little cold and dank here, but warming up, compared to the last few chilly weeks:

If I'm reading the Japanese Wikipedia page on the ZVW30 Prius correctly, the "L" trim level (base model) has 185/65 R15 tyres, whereas the "S" (next level up) has 195/65 R15. They look like the standard 15" wheels so the larger tyres should be fine. My Plug-in has the same wheels with 195/65 R15 tyres, which is the standard 15" OEM spec sold in Europe.
