I have a 2005 with ~185K miles. The lenses for the HID headlights are foggy which is slowly becoming a safety issue. I have attempted several compounds to buff the lense with no real success.

I am interested in replacing the entire HID headlight assembly. OEM HID headlight assemblies are expensive. Does anyone have a recommendation for a aftermarket product that doesn't require significant modifications?

    Thanks. Dean

I just replaced my worn OEM HID housings with aftermarket housings from Amazon, sold under the brand name "DEPO". The housings fit perfectly and look great, but the beam pattern is TERRIBLE and the motors that control the anti-glare shield (The thing that retracts when you switch the brights on) are defective and do not block the entire bright beam, resulting in 'always on brights'.

Do not buy the DEPO branded ones. Spend the extra $100 on OEM housings from a discount Toyota parts dealer.
