I picked up my car from dealer yesterday after they replaced the bracket for the brake pedal. The ABS and VSC lights were off and stayed off for my entire trip home. I did notice that while I can turn on the cruise control I can not set the speed. This morning as I drove out of my neighborhood the ABS and VSC lights went on again so it is back to the dealer. :(

Thanks for the update. I wonder what they will try next. Start swapping parts with a known good vehicle?

Here is a link to Massachusetts Lemon Law, New and Leased Car Lemon Law
. It states "The Lemon Law only covers serious defects- those which substantially impair the use, market-value or safety of the vehicle". Not sure if Toyota would agree this is a serious defect.

It should be rather clear that an ABS problem would impair the safety of the vehicle.

You mean call @Prius Team . When typed correctly a selection pops up after you type the @ and a couple of letters.

I have seen no responses the past couple of times though. If @JakeB PMs them it will probably send them an email alert.

    Please keep us updated.

    Hmmm.
It works on my iPhone, iPod, & PC browsers. I do not use any apps for PriusChat.
If you try & edit a posting like that afterwards, you see some magic tags were inserted behind the scenes.

Thanks for letting me know about @Prius Team. I will give the dealership one more chance before contacting them.

You're welcome, Jake. Using that @ sign pings the guy directly so he knows it's a message for him. Apparently he not been heard from in a while now, but you don't have to ping him again.

You can also PM ("Start a conversation") with them. I know, by default at least, that sends them an email. In the web interface, use the envelope beside the Alert flag in the upper right of the page.

Just got a call from the dealer and the next attempt at fixing this problem will be to replace the brake pedal assembly. I will be dropping my car off tomorrow morning. Third time a charm?

I believe lemon law is "three strikes, you're out". Replacement maybe?

I imagine that the law varies by state. In Massachusetts the law states:
If the substantial defect continues or recurs after the manufacturer or authorized dealer has made a reasonable number of repair attempts to repair the defect, you must give the manufacturer (not the dealer) one final repair opportunity, not to exceed seven business days, to fix the defect.
So if the new brake pedal assembly doesn't resolve the problem they would have one final shot.

Hey Jake - Sorry I've been slow on the draw lately! Glad to hear they're taking a look at the car.
