What an amazing deal! I'll break down the price in a bit. So Cal dealers remain very competitive (except Carson Toyota, don't go there folks!)

Looks like you got $1,815 off MSRP, in addition to the $1,000 Instant Rebate. For a total of approximately $2,815 OFF!!! That's one hell of a deal.

    Vehicle MSRP $ 29,964.00
    Dealer Discount $ (1,814.53)
    Document Fees $ 80.00

    Sub Total $ 28,229.47
    TAX at 7.75% $ 2,187.78

    Tire Fee $ 8.75
    Tag $ 264.00
    County Fee $ 11.00
    Filing Fee $ 29.00
    Smog Fee $ 20.00

    Final Price $ 30,750.00

    - Factory Rebate $ (1,000.00)
    OTD $ 29,750.00

Any reason why they were willing to discounted so much???

I actually don't know. It was definitely not my charming personality since I didn't actually walk onto the dealership or speak on the phone with the salesman until I came to purchase the car. Dealt 100% via email and this guy just was just honest and didn't mind that I refused to come in or even speak on the phone. I spent a total of 1 hour at the dealership. Really great experience! They didn't have many of them either. 2 Premiums and 1 Advance.

The car only had 3 miles on it too and all of the plastic still covering everything. I was the first non-Toyota employed person to drive the thing.

how does 30,000 otd Los angeles sales tax sound for blizzard white prime plus sound? which would probably amount to something like 27100 before TTL and fees

Recently bought a blue Plus (Model 3) black interior,
28189 MSRP with carpeted floor and cargo mats
248 MSRP for All Weather floor and cargo mats provided for free by dealer
    -730 dealer discount
    -1000 Toyota rebate
-4502 Federal tax credit for 2017 taxes
300 dealer processing fee in Maryland
Zero tax credit in my state
22257 after Federal tax credit and before sales tax and license and plates.
I think this is how we should compare prices since we live in different states.

the dealer wanted 542 for handling my out of state taxes and title and tags (includes payment to my state)
the dealer at the same time was charging me too little for tax to my state
So I talked the dealer into not handling my tax payment incorrectly and therefore not charging me 542.
    My additional costs are:
95 to register title in my state
    101 for tags
    2013 state sales tax @7.25%
    15 for temporary Maryland tag
206 one way flight with tax. Difficult to buy a Prime in Midwest.

Dealer picked me up at the airport. Traction battery was fully charged and car was just washed and tank was full of gas. I waxed car in the delivery area as we agreed. Beautiful drive thru 2 states I have never seen MD and WV. 765 miles to home. The prime is so much better than the Gen 3's I've had.

I think $22257 is less than a discounted Prius model 2 ECO would cost me before tax, title, and tags.

Will- Thanks for all your work here. I am in Nebraska. Looking for a Prius Prime Advanced and willing to travel to get it back to NE. Can you give me any ideas on the best way to go about it? Should I just look for a good deal on sites like cars(dot)Kom? or maybe Email dealers using Consumer reports service (you can change your zip code in that system and it shows supposedly True-car pricing for dealers in that zip code. It then connects you with dealers that give internet pricing?
Do you know, are there certain parts of the country that get more Primes shipped to them like maybe coastal cities (Houston TX maybe and would deals be better in those areas?
Any dealer names, methods you would use or directions you could offer would be helpful. I am ready to buy but in no hurry.

    Thanks
    Hatcher

I can only speak of socal deals, that's the only territory I am familiar with. We have a good amount of inventory here, so more incentives and almost all dealerships in socal are selling below invoice (except Carson Toyota, avoid them). If you're willing to fly down to LA, I can give you a handful of dealers I've worked with offering at least 600 off msrp. I would start with emailing dealers directly. Get their info from their website and cc: the general manager. That'll get the ball rolling. Good luck and keep us updated. All the best.

    Hey all,

First post here! Starting my search for a Prius Prime. Test drove the red one today and I love it.

I see some of you have a $1k cash back incentive from Toyota. I'm guessing that's regional, right? I'm in NY and when I typed my zip, the only real deal I see if financing @ 0% up to 60 months. Other than that, I don't qualify for the recent grad/military rebates.

I see that this current finance rate is going to end 2/28... how likely is it going to come back? I don't forsee myself buying a car in 2 weeks or less. I'm also hoping NYS will offer some sort of tax credits soon..

    Any inputs appreciated!

@0% interest is a much better deal than $1k off. You can put the $ in a high interest savings/cd or have that up front capital for a rainy day. Cash is king. A $3x,xxx line of credit at 0% for 5 years is wonderful. I would do that and put $0 down.

    Yep, I agree. Thanks.

Looks like getting a ~$1k or so off MSRP is reasonable from scanning the threads.

Does anyone know what the March incentives would look like?

With interest rates going up soon, I would not wait too long. If you have decided on the vehicle, just secure it and bite the bullet. You'll be glad you did. Good luck
