Have my 06 on the way....package #2 (mag. grey)
Gonna have an aftermarket leather put on at dealer($1,070) flaps and side moldings as well (220)

BUT main question is has anyone taken their car into a specialty car stereo/mobile video store and had luck with them hacking into the MFD to set up an external dvd player to play up front and back (2 lcds in mounted in headrests for the kiddies) And if so where did you/they mount the dvd player for easy access?

I think this can be done d/t the fact their must be a video in feed from rear camera to the MFD.

Check out Darell's mod section on his site

    http://darelldd.com/ev/index.htm
(click on the mods at the top and then on the "ANYTIME CAMERA VIEW" and look towards the end of the section)

Fairly straight foward if you have the guts to start hacking your new car!

I took a different approach and put a DVD player in the glove box. I installed a VGA Touch screen in the slot below the radio. The screen is very visible by both rear passengers, but they must both watch the same DVD.

I'm happy with the installation, but I have to be since I did it myself. Click my signature for pictures.

IBCS: you outdid yourself with your mods, they are soooo nice and the clean pic of your hatchack post-mods is unreal. The only problem i can see with your setup is having the dvd player in the glove, with the glove shut the player will be a lot more vertical and I had a problem in my navigator with a vertically mounted dvd player, the dvds at times would "break-up" d/t speed variances. Once i remounted it more horizontally problem was solved. Have you had any issues with your dvds??? maybe they are making new dvd players to be mounted vertically and not affect playback, please let me know!

sazzam: sweet setup too man! I hope i can find a player to fit as snug as yours does under the factory radio!
