I love my new Four but am frustrated with cleaning the inside windshield. I've used Windex and Invisible Glass, newspaper, paper towels and lint-free microfiber cloths - none of which cleans without streaks.

Never had this issue with any of my other four Prii.

    Your perspectives are appreciated.

Are you using the two microfiber towel method? One to clean the window with a cleaner and the other dry one to dry it immediately afterwards? There are plenty of videos of this method on YouTube and I really believe the quality of the microfiber towel itself plays a huge role in whether or not little lint pieces will remain. Good luck and let us know if this method helps in removing the streaks.

I haven’t cleaned the inside glass on my new Prius yet, but when I do, I’ll follow this procedure, recommended in a General Motors service bulletin:

    Interior Glass Cleaning

The interior glass should be cleaned with plain, clean water only applied with a clean terry cloth towel. Water only cleaning eliminates any film or haze on the window and helps prevent fogging [...]. Tests indicate that glass cleaners are ineffective at removing the film and can make the situation worse. New vehicles have a tendency to deposit a film on the inside of the glass due to various properties of the interior materials.

i'll try that, it's worth a shot. windex does leave streaks, or i'm missing spots. i can't tell until oncoming headlights highlight them.

I use Sprayway window cleaner and old bath towels.
Sprayway is from the grocery store and the towels are from hotels with high resort fees which are plentiful(y)

Simple water and towel works best for me. I use rain-x on the outside. With that combination, crystal clear windshield.

I'm using this stuff, both inside and out, and on the wiper blades. On the inside, especially the steeply sloped windshield, one of those terrycloth paddles with a handle helps you reach. I'll spray it onto the paddle, then apply to the glass. Then wipe dry with a flannel cloth. Not sure if it's available in the 'States though; maybe there's something similar? Look for heavy-duty automotive glass cleaner.

I've spent so much money trying to clean the glass top stove we have at home. Everything I but would leave streaks behind. Then I decided to just use water and paper towels and it's spotless. I do this now with my cars but I use a microfiber cloth at the end to pick up the inevitable lint from the paper towel.

Why not just use the damp microfiber cloth. It works for me.

Will try that solution, RCO. But not until it gets dirty. Not crazy about glass cleaners because so many are expensive and leave streaks. Not sure what happened to plain old Windex, which used to work so well. The best way to keep your interior windows clean is to be the only person inside your car, but that would require me knocking off the rest of the family, which might not go over too well.

Think I'll stick to drinking meths. Probably much cheaper as I'm already nearly blind. :ROFLMAO::cool:
