A cool perk for new Prime owners is 100 consecutive days of free charging on the ChargePoint network up to $100 maximum.

Just noted on the updated Toyota Prime website:

Wow, do I have to drive 100s of miles to find one of those?

There are 3 just a half mile from my house, at the new grocery store... which are free.

There are 6 at work, where the ramp has a massive (85 kWh) solar array. These still have a $3 per use charge, with the plan of making the entire section there all plug-in spots. The $100 should help that effort along.

What setting did you use? I only show or know of 2 places, 1 level 2 and 1 fast DC at the Nissan dealer (not really public) and 1 maybe public level 2 at the Coop Extension Service office (mislabeled and located I believe). If there are any others they are behind lock and key or security. With 3x+ the mpg compared the the retired Explorer and 2x the mpg compared to the current Cavalier being able to plug-in while traveling would just be icing.

Edit: if you zoom way out from my location the map merges the whole states "8" chargers to my location. Somebody said something about driving 100 miles to charge?

You are right, the zoom out function merges several additional stations that are not in your town. Only 3 appear to be in Morgantown proper, giving the wrong impression, as you describe.

Those charging stations are in a parking lot which you have to pay for parking. I bet the $100 card can't be used to pay for parking.

I just don't understand why they just didn't give us a $100 credit that's good until it's gone. I probably speak for many (maybe) that don't have any ChargePoint stations convenient to them. But sometimes I travel and it would be nice not to have an artificial time limit on the so called 'free' charging. It's a lot like a cash card that you are given as a purchase rebate. It's only in very fine print that you find out that the 'rebate' that was advertised so blatantly, expires in a few months, and if you don't use it, it's gone. Not much of a rebate if you don't have the opportunity to make use of it.
But, having said that, you still need a NFC card to turn on power when you plug in even if charging is free, so it was nice of Toyota to give us one.

Growth of the charging network won't come from owners eventually using it.

Won't come from the owners not using it at all either. Since there aren't any Chargepoint chargers anywhere I ever go, I don't even plan to activate my free card. Since Chargepoint rates are outrageous for the paid for locations when you only charge at 3.3kW (i.e. $4 for 25 miles of range = over $8 per equivalent gallon of gasoline), I don't plan to ever pay for use with this car.

There is "an app for that" and it will magically find the closest CP station.
