My 2004 got totaled a couple weeks ago, so I am looking at a 2005.
It has a P0A80, and I know this is the traction battery. My question is this....the air conditioner wont come on. I will clarify...the dash says it is on, the temp is set to max cool, the fan IS running, just no COLD air...Will the P0A80 code keep the compressor from running, or is this a separate problem?
    Thanks

Yes, car runs fine. Just trying to find out before I buy if the traction battery code will cause a no-run condition for the electric compressor, or if it a completely different problem. Seller says it ran before the code was thrown, just wondering...

Why even consider the car? Are you thinking of transplanting the battery from the 2004 to the 2005? If not, you'll be buying a battery so you'll be able to diagnose the air conditioner problem. My guess is the 2005 has two expensive problems so you should be getting paid to take it away.

No code error is a separate problem

Thank you JC91006 for the answer. Thanks to Bisco for the response. JimN, I really don't appreciate your attitude and respectfully suggest you not respond when you cant help.
