    Hello All. I'm a new Gen 4 Prius 2 owner. I come from a Prius Gen 2 Package 5.

So I have tinted 5 cars in the past by myself. I've tinted the Prius Gen 2, Honda Odyssey, Subaru Forrester, Honda Civic, and Ford Focus.

I can't seem to find any write ups, DIY, or Youtube videos on Tinting the Gen 4 Prius. I have already purchased my die cut tint from eBay. Been buying from the same seller since tinting my very first car. Do any of you guys have any experience tinting yourself a Gen 4?

It appears w/ the Gen 4, I will need to remove the door panels for the front doors since the panels are in the way. With most cars i tinted I never had to remove the panels and just slipped the tint between the window and panel. I'm not anywhere near a professional install nor do I plan to be. I just had success w/ my first car and since that my friends have asked me to help them tint their car. No charge, they just brought a case of beer. =)

I hope this is not in the wrong section of the forum, if it is administrator please feel free to move it.

I was present for a couple of my cars at times while being tinted - they had the door panels off both times. But that was 12 and 16 yrs ago.

Vince22, not sure where you live but here in the expensive bay area, the cheapest ceramic tinting would cost upwards of over $350. Price of living in the Bay Area.

Thanks for the referral...will use him in the future as I tinted my own car. But $160 is a steal and it only a 30 min drive for me to Morgan Hill.
