I have had both brands on my 2016 Prius. IMO the WellVisors fit and finish are better. Molded, not cut edges being the big difference.

Does it affect road/wind noise? Would you say noise is the less, more, or the same with the window up? Same question but with window cracked/maybe down about and inch or 2?

My WellVisor on the driver's side front is coming off in the front so it sometimes flaps while on the freeway and I have to grab it and push it down. It resticks once I push on it but obviously I need to either remove it or redo the tape. Anyone have suggestions on the kind of tape to use?

This is the one purchase I kind of regret on this car. It looks cool but doesn't really add much. On a different car it would have value for cracking the window while it's raining when parked but with this car I'll just run my a/c even if I'm parked for a long time.

Well it doesn't matter what kind of tape to use because this morning the WellVisor flew off on the freeway at 60 mph. Luckily it must have gone to the side because the car behind me didn't swerve.

Update: I emailed them and they are sending a replacement for the one that flew off. But meanwhile I checked the others and found the tape wasn't sticky and they all pulled right off without much effort. Most of them came off the hooks also, leaving the hooks in the door. Actually the one that flew off on the freeway left the hooks behind too. So these are really not secured, or at least this tape doesn't last long in tropical weather.

Wellvisor said they're sending more tape for the other visors. I'll update again when I get the package. If it's the same kind of tape though, I'm hesitant to reinstall because this first set didn't last 8 months and we're not even in the hot season yet. I won't have hooks this time either, not that those helped any.

The proper foam tape should be charcoal gray colored and have a red plastic backing strip that may have 3M printed on it.

You can buy some on your own, it's 3M exterior mounting double sided tape. I've had multiple sets of window visors mounted here in the 808 and none have ever come off, not even slightly.

When you mount it, wipe the window and visor surface with rubbing alcohol and let it dry to clean it and especially to remove any oils.

Ya that's the kind of tape the visors came with. I did wipe the surfaces with alcohol before installing. The tape stayed on the car and pulled away from the visors, so it seems like it wasn't stuck to the visors well. They already came with the tape applied to the visors. I'll apply it to the visors myself when they send the replacements.

Wellvisor overnight shipped the replacement visor along with 4 packs of tape so I have to give them props for responsiveness. I'll get around to replacing them later--have other home projects to do first.

Sorry for the Thread Highjacking but ive installed the AVS Low Profile visors. Very Solid feel and have had 0 issues so far. They are so low you can barely tell they are there and look OEM which is what i wanted. IMG_20170419_064508.jpg IMG_20170419_064515.jpg IMG_20170419_064523.jpg IMG_20170419_064529.jpg

I know this is an old thread but I am looking at getting some window visors and I am wondering if they would interfere/ hit the Toyota roof rails I have installed. Anyone running both?

After two-and-a-half years I had one of my WellVisors snapped off of my car on a speed run on the 15 to Vegas. I called them the next day and they replaced the missing detail and upon my request gave me 3 more rolls of 3M tape to remove and reinstall the three older visors. All for free and with no hassle. Didn't have to show a receipt or anything. Great customer service.

Just got my wellvisors installed yesterday for 2016 Prius. This has been something I wanted for a long time, but didn't know Wellvisors existed until recently. Didnt want to just get 2 windows from weathertech, and I didn't know they had a JDM option until recently.

    Installation:
Their video is accurate, but is missing 1 crucial step. They provide you 8 pcs of thin clear film, which is to be used to protect your door against the metal clips that are on the visors.

Align the visor to the door, and then find where the metal clips will be. Place the film where the clips would go, and make sure to align it to the bottom part of the plastic on the door. Then remove the tape, etc.

    Look
Looks awesome, just hope it doesn't fly off.

    Noise
Definitely does increase noise while driving.

    Overall
Solid 3.8/5 buy. For the price it's hard to beat, since OEM shipped from JP is about $200, but uses the same installation method, and you won't have warranty. Weathertech only comes with the 2 front windows, and is more "bubble" like. The in-channel is better so it doesn't fall off, etc.

Would I buy it again? If it doesn't fall off in 2 years, and if they do Wellvisors replaces them, sure. I just hope if it flies off, it doesn't hit a car bcuz of insurance.

The big quality difference for me between WellVisors and OEM is the fact that the WellVisors are "finished" on the lower edge and the OEM visors are "cut" and have an important unfinished edge.
