We inherited a 2015 Prius from my mother-in-law with about 9k. I drive about 80 miles per day round-trip, the wife drives about 10 and she has a 2016 Nissan Leaf (our 2nd Leaf). I gave my daughter my 2012 Fusion Sport to "use" until she can afford her own car (just graduated from college). I absolutely HATE this Prius. The seats are HORRIBLE with no lumbar support, it's about as gutless as you can get and every jack-wagen in a truck seems to go out of their way to either cut me off or get in front of me and slow down. The ONLY reason I like this car is I am getting 40mpg - Yes I drive like a bat-out-of- hell and most of my commute is through the Sierra foothills. I only drive this when I commute to and from work - otherwise, I drive my truck.
Anyhow - I was driving home a few nights ago and a Hybrid Drive overheat message display, which was quickly followed by a pull over so you dont damage your car now warning. I pulled off the freeway and discovered the Inverter Reservoir was empty. Added some water as I really needed to get home - It was wifey's birthday. Looking around and I found a tiny pinhole from a rock in the inverter radiator... I limp it home. I was a pro mechanic for 15 years, so I pretty much do most of my own work. I ordered a new radiator and installed it today, with fresh coolant. I also changed the oil and filter. While I was at it, I pulled the front bumper and added some aluminum screen to the back of the grill openings as I really dont want to do this again.

I have since painted the screws black.

    Couple of questions.
Is there a bleeder for the inverter cooling system or will it self bleed (it seems fine)? I already googled it and cant find any info.
Are there center caps for the wheels?

I have this trunk for my Prius. You can take it on and off as often as you like. It was presented on Saturday. The front lights are pretty cool IMG_0884cropped.jpg IMG_0886.JPG IMG_0891.JPG IMG_0902cropped.jpg

+1 on adding some finer screen material to keep rocks from damaging the two radiators behind the front grill openings. I've also done this as well on both of our vehicles.

As for the @-holes all around you cutting you off, not much you can do about it except stay out of the way. Unfortunately, other Prius drivers trying to squeeze every last bit of mpg, driving slowly, has given them a bad impression of ALL Prius drivers.

May I recommend a dual horn upgrade (link in my signature below)? It will at least warn the driver who is inadvertently changing lanes into your lane without properly checking their blindspot, which also happens quite frequently. The oem horns on the Prius are pathetic.
