We have a new 2016 Prius 3 Touring, and the clock didn't adjust automatically to DST last Sunday. I did check that it was configured for DST, the time remained the same. Is there a way I can change this manually?

I wasn't even aware that the Gen4 clock would adjust to DST automatically....

So did you adjust it yourself?

You move the time display ahead one hour.

I'll check it again and try when I get the car back (my wife's driving it now). I'm just wondering why would there be a DST option if the car won't automatically adjust the time. Oh well.....

On my 2017 Trim Two in the US, I changed the clock using the Settings menu on the small MID to the right of the speedometer.

Does it need a digital radio or satnav signal to auto update? My MB used to...

AFAIK, the clock has never been connected to or updated by the GPS or HD radio. Gen2 through Gen4. The only DST setting I've ever seen related to the displayed ETA in the nav software, which does see the GPS time.

Sure would be nice if it updated the clock.

Worth noting that there's two clocks.

The one on the instrument cluster gets changed through the buttons on the steering wheel. Follow the directions here to adjust it: page 97

The one on the radio is the one that has a daylight savings time setting, along with a time zone setting. I believe it'll set itself via GPS, but needs you to tell it whether it's currently daylight savings time or not, and what time zone it's currently in. The directions here are how to set that: page 59

Edit: The forum is being stupid and eating the URLs, but they're OM47A29U and OM47A41U respectively.

I cheated and asked the Toyota service guy to change the instrument cluster clock...he did use the steering wheel and said that there are too many options on the settings setting and that he is happy to do it for any drivers over age 13. I try not to use my RAM to store esoteric instructions needed only every six months. It was easier on the 2013 V Three. Didn't bother to look at the time on the dash GPS. (In a much earlier life I read the entire owner's manual from front to back the first week of ownership...but manuals were about 40 pages back then.)

SWMBO has an even simpler approach, she leaves hers set to BST all year round.

I tried following the instructions on Pg 97 in accessory and ignition on mode in the garage without depressing the brake and it wouldn't let me. It will only allow you if the car is started so I'll have to wait until the next time I take it out of the garage and start it to to set it. I kinda miss setting my dash clock with the point of a pen.

I've read that there are 26 different rules regarding when DST takes effect. Plus the rules change on a very irregular basis over time...

Cool. That's Alpha (A) time, btw. Greenwich Mean Time as was, now called Universal Time Constant is Zulu Time (Z). My personal 'manager' has her own particular system which requires me to do it for her. :)

On my household's other modern car (newer than my 2012 Prius), manually turning DST On simply bumps that clock ahead one hour. Or turn DST Off to drop back one hour.

My last 3 cars: MB C Class, Nissan X-Trail and Honda CRV all switched automatically on the correct day. Perhaps I've been watching too many Harry Potter films... ;)

I toggled my setting off and on and it didn't change the clock. No idea why the option is there if it doesn't actually do anything. Never have changed my cordless headset at home, so it's always right 6 months a year at least.

Again, the setting does not change the instrument cluster clock, it changes the navigation clock.

Why would one device has 2 independent time settings???
IMO 1 global settings is enough.
