Just another Holy Cow mileage thing. I've had the 2006 Prius for only 5 days and have already put 700 miles on the car. 560 of those miles are for my daily commute, 56 miles each way. I have averaged between 54.1 and 56.3 miles per gallon for each of those daily 56 mile trips. I can't believe as many have said that the mileage gets better after the first 5,000 miles. I can't wait until i actually learn how to drive this thing.

I'm right there with you FieroGT. I've had mine for 7 days now and I've clocked about 900 miles...51.5 on first tank and now 54+mpg 400 miles into the 2nd tank. Probably 80% of those miles have been at 65-70mph w/air on. It seems each day I get better at pulling down great numbers even while rolling down the freeway. :D
