    Hey gang-

My names Trevor and I'm a newbie as well as a hesitant Prius owner. Does anyone know why my central dash display would almost go dead after I pushed the 'pwr' button? It did it twice. The next time was while I was going about 65 mph.

    Thanks for your time everyone.

    Trevor

Are you talking about the "power" driving mode?

Yup, I think that's what it is. The three buttons in the middle console.

Have you had the inverter/motor generator software recall work done?

I'm not entirely sure if the inverter/generator software thingy has been updated. I have the Toyota app and have put my VIN in. It shows all of the things that have been updated and I don't see that one.

Oh I'm hesitant because I didn't want a new car. (New for me) The salesmans 'Kung fu' was stronger then mine. Now I have a payment and I hate it. That's all it's a fine machine and I am a supporter of alternative tech and driving junk. I just am not sure I can afford this car, and it's completely my own fault. I'm sure I'll adjust or I'll sell it.

The Toyota Owners site should flag the recall as open -- if the work hasn't yet been done.
